Why should I attend Sandbox discussions?

Discussing hot topics with practitioners who share common concerns, is often the most effective way to test ideas & co-create solutions/actions. At Sandbox discussions, the fundamental premise is the willingness to ask questions and learn from each other. I was privileged to be a part of the first Sandbox session with Shubha and the team and it definitely was an evening well spent. Was lovely to hear "out of the box" ideas from fellow colleagues across the industry.

The session was well spent discussing future people trends, the evolving role of Human Resources (HR) and some foreseeable challenges that we need to pro-actively prepare for. Looking forward to further sessions with the team

I attended the first Sandbox discussion on evolving workforce models. The group reiterated the strong need for flexibility at the workplace.

What I really liked about the Sandbox discussion was how we culled down the list of challenges and action areas. The 3 focus  areas were; culture, hr policies and future-fit leaders. Organizational culture and leadership will be the big differentiator in this evolution.

Keenly looking forward to participate in the next Sandbox discussion.

Sandbox discussion on evolving workforce models  was rich and reinforced peer learning.

The key insight was leaders have to help their organizations to capitalize on a multi-generational workforce working in different employment models across the spectrum of hybrid work arrangements by being a thermostat and not a thermometer of desired culture.

I am looking forward to participate in the upcoming Sandbox discussions from the NHRDN SG team.

How it works

Topics & Frequency

Attend Sandbox

  • Members and guests can sign up to attend Sandbox discussions.  
  • We aim to have around 12 to 15 participants per discussion (Members will be given first preference)
  • As a member, you can also suggest topics (enter below)
  • Choose if you wish to lead the discussion or actively participate - either way you contribute and learn

Attendance Fees

  • Members: SGD10 per Sandbox event
  • Non-members and Guests: SGD25 per Sandbox event
